We exist to serve the military child!

Moves are never easy. However, the faculty and staff of Fort Sam Houston Independent School District (FSHISD) are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for you and your children. We hope that the resources provided on this site will help make your move to San Antonio easier.

Required Forms for Registration

*Please note: if you do not live on JBSA FSH, you may apply for the Non-Resident Transfer program. Your application will be reviewed and parents will be notified by email with the decision. Parents may not begin the registration process prior to receiving NRT approval. 

The following documents needed for registration at any of our campuses:

• Proof of residency

(On the Installation - Copy of Minol Utility; Off the Installation - Water, electric or mortgage/lease) Contact your campus registrar with questions.

• Copy of birth certificate

• Immunization Record

• Social Security card

• Last report card/withdrawal from the previous school (if applicable)

• Any legal documentation pertaining to your student (if applicable)

• Enrolling parent’s driver’s license and military ID

• Copy of Military Orders
