Cole MS & HS Highlights

On November 8, 2019 Robert G. Cole High School held its annual Veterans Day Observances during which a Purple Heart Medal thought to be that of the school’s namesake was donated to the school.

Please congratulate both Boys' and Girls' Cross Country teams on an outstanding performance last Saturday at the UIL State Meet.  Both teams displayed heart and a fierce determination to be recognized as some of the top runners in the State.  All team members ran their personal best times, surpassing all expectations.

Cole Tech Interns have been hard at work creating the first episode of the new "196.2 Podcast", a student-driven podcast highlighting great things happening at Cole and in the district. Episode One takes listeners on a walk through the decades as they examine how the school experience has changed over the past 50 years. The name "196.2" comes from the year Cole was established, 1962, and is a play on radio station call numbers. You can hear episode one by clicking the headline above. The 196.2 Podcast is also available on Spotify and will soon be available on all major podcast platforms.

Fort Sam Houston ISD is requesting our parents' cooperation in completing the annual Impact Aid Survey Form. A letter explaining the reason for the survey and the survey form have been sent home with the students. The form is asking for information as of November 6, 2019. Please complete, sign, and return the form to your child's campus by Friday, November 22. A separate form is needed for each student. Your cooperation with this necessary form is greatly appreciated!

Please congratulate the Cole Cougar Cross Country teams on a dominated performance by all participants in the District 26AAA Meet yesterday at Ingram HS.  The Varsity Boys and Girls teams defended their District Championship Title for the fifth consecutive year with grit and persistence. We had several individual district champions.

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls' and Boys' Cross Country teams on a very exciting day at the UIL Region IV Championships.  Your Cole Cougars represented the region with grit and persistence and they both advanced to the UIL State meet on November 9th at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock Texas.
