About Me

Welcome to our Math Class!  I am passionate about all things mathematics, so much so, that my own family says I am a bit nerdy.  LOL. I find mathematics beautiful and I am always learning new things.

I am an Army Brat.  My father served 26 years in the Army and served a tour in Viet Nam. I graduated from the United Stated Military Academy at West Point in 1992 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and commissioned as a 2LT in Aviation.  I flew the UH-60 Blackhawk for 7 years and commanded 2 companies.

In 1999, I resigned my commission and started our family. We have three children. Elizabeth graduated Ithaca College in 2022 with a degree in Chemistry and commissioned as a 2LT in the Medical Service Corps.  She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Bio-Chemistry at Cornell and hopes to finish in three years. Katherine is in Illinois working full time and planning her next steps academically.  Sean is starting his final year as a Cadet at West Point studying Military History. He hopes to branch Aviation. My husband of 32 years just started his 34th year on Active Duty and still loves what he does. We also have a 11 year old Border Collie mix, Benny.

This is my 10th year teaching and my 4th school district/state. I love sharing my passion for math with my students. I truly believe that everyone can do math! It is my hope that by the end of the year, more students understand the beauty and simplicity of mathematics, and have a greater appreciation for the topic.

I love to travel, build Lego, and I am in the last stretch of my Doctoral dissertation. I hope to finish by then end of 2026.
