Boys Pre Athletics Objectives

Students will prepare to become Cole Cougar athletes and learn the expectations and responsibilities involved with the Cole athletic program.  The students will become both mentally and physically prepared for 7th grade competition.   

 

Flexibility:

Students will go through a daily dynamic stretch and warm up routine to develop functional flexibility that will continue to carry over on into competitive sports.  

 

 

Agility:

Students will be taught reactive agility through simple drills that will become increasingly more challenging as the students progress in their level of athleticism.  

 

Speed Mechanics:

Students will be taught proper speed mechanics through various drills that will begin simple and advance the students as they progress.  

 

Conditioning:

Students will be given both aerobic and anaerobic conditioning workouts that will be specific to competitive sports offered in 7th grade athletics.  



Strength Training:

Students will be taken through daily calisthenic workouts to prepare them for the fundamental weight training exercises they will see during strength and conditioning camp the summer before 7th grade.
