About Me...

Personal:
The most important title I have is Mom.  I am blessed to have 4 amazing sons. They are my inspiration and motivation to be the best version of myself every day.  I also have a sweet dog named Belle.

Education:
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Texas State University as well as an Associates Degree in Business Administration. I have a Living Mental Wellness certification. I am also in the process of certifying with NYU's Tisch School of Drama in their Performing Arts Industry program.

Background:
I am originally from Amarillo, TX but moved to San Antonio in 2008.  I grew up participating in a variety of the arts. I sang in choirs, acted in plays, took dance for 11 years, and have always loved to draw and paint.  I credit my Mother and grandparents for teaching me the art of crafting; everything from painting, to sewing, to building things in the carpentry shop.  In school, I enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball, and tennis. In high school, I was a freelance writer for the local paper and I was on yearbook staff for several years.  I graduated as Valedictorian from my high school.  I share all of these things because I love to use my variety of interests and experience to relate to students who also have a variety of interests.

I worked in real estate as a sales agent, transaction coordinator, and "house flipper" for over 10 years so I have not always been a teacher. However, throughout my life, I have always loved teaching.  I began even as a high school student coaching tennis and helping tutor ESL students on the weekend at a local church while also teaching ballet, tap, and jazz to elementary students during the week. Throughout the years, I have worked with students from Pre-K to 12th grade. I have taught theatre and dance, directed shows, and even coached girls volleyball and both girls and boys basketball at the elementary school level for different organizations.  I enjoy working with students of all ages and love seeing them light up when something clicks and they understand a new concept or idea.
