About Mrs. Gaitan-Martinez
Hello! I am the Student Services Coordinator at Robert G. Cole Middle and High School. In my position, my primary roles are as the 504 Coordinator and the Testing Coordinator which includes all state testing, Gifted and Talented Testing, Emerging Bilingual Testing, and TSIA testing for college. Additionally, I help to support these programs in my role. I feel truly blessed to serve the military child here at Fort Sam Houston ISD.
I am a proud San Antonio native with roots dating back to Texas' earliest years. I graduated from Sandra Day O'Connor High School in Helotes in and moved an hour north to pursue my Bachelors degree with majors in English and Psychology. I began my graduate degree in 2004 at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and graduated with a Masters of Science in Secondary Education. My post graduate work from Texas Tech University focused on Rhetoric and from Lamar University with a focus on Educational Administration.
I am married to a wonderfully kind-hearted man who is my college sweetheart. I spend my free time being a mommy to my little ones and cooking (mostly healthy meals) for my family to my heart's content.
I began teaching in 2006 and it's hard to believe that it all started that many years ago. Time truly flies when you're having fun!
